A Bit About Me

I am a hairstylist with 18 years of experience behind the chair. I absolutely love my job; I actually look forward to the days I get to work. Not only is it a creative outlet for me, but I also quite fancy the science behind it all. I also absolutely love connecting with people. There’s something about the people who sit in my chair - you all are amazing people! I would not be the person I am today without having met all my guests. You make my job fantastic.

In those 18 years as a hairstylist, I have had some amazing opportunities! I have been an educator for different colour companies, which has allowed me to further my hairstyling and colouring knowledge and experience. I have entered hairstyling competitions, and won a few! I have traveled to do hair locally, nationally, and internationally. It has been incredible. It is a driving passion to continue to build and grow my skills as a hairstylist, and as a human. I think we should always strive to be better.

Which brings me to why I use organic products. I spent more than eight years doing hair the conventional way - which means lots of artificial, synthetic, chemical, toxic, potentially harmful ingredients. While pregnant with my first child I realized that another human being was 100% dependent on what I put IN and ON my body. That was a massive eye opening realization! My lifestyle began to change, what I ate began to change, personal care items began to change, housekeeping routines and products began to change, grocery shopping changed… little by little, my entire life looked completely different. And that is when I realized that my career needed to change.

I had the opportunity to move my career to a salon that believed the same things I did. I am still at this amazing, safe, healthy salon. In fact, I am now the owner of this salon! :)  I started with small changes in my personal life that grew to change how I take care of my guests. Can I do better? Always, I’m not finished, I’ve got lots more growing to do. This is a lifelong journey, and I am honored to share it with you.

I believe we are never done growing - we are all undone.

Let’s grow together,

Tracey
